IGA Annual District Meetings:
The Idaho Golf Association conducts three Annual meetings, one in each District. All IGA members are encouraged to attend the meeting in their District. There will be reports on the business of the association and election of Board members.
District 1 (Treasure Valley) Spring Meeting of the IGA Membership
One Board Seat is up for election in Disrict 1. The following are on the ballot for the District 1 seat:
District 2 (South Central, ID) Spring Meeting of the IGA Membership
District 3 (Southeastern, ID) Spring Meeting of the IGA Membership
All IGA members are invited to attend, particularly the leadership (officers) of the men’s and women’s golf association at your club as well as the Chair of the club’s Handicap Committee.
Agenda for all three District meetings will be as follows:
When may the “stroke and distance” relief option under Rule 28 (Ball Unplayable) permit a player to drop a ball nearer to the hole than where the ball lay unplayable?
See Decision 28/8 Ball Deemed Unplayable; Place from which Previous Stroke Played Is Nearer the Hole.
Yes, and in such case, the ball would be dropped nearer to the hole than where the ball lay when it was deemed unplayable.
Knowing the Rules can save you strokes.
