IGA Mixed 29 Foursomes Have New Champions
Sunday, October 9 the IGA’s last championship of the season was conducted at Jerome Country Club. The defending team of Kyle and Reagan Delorey were looking for another win as well as past champions, Pat Inglis and Laurel Williams. At the turn, the team of Ken Spraker and Jennifer Swindell were leading the field at one under par while Kyle and Reagan Delorey made the turn at two over. Spraker and Swindell tripled their number ten hole, which was a game changer. Delorey and Delorey were still in the hunt to defend their title. At this point, Spraker and Swindell had a two stroke lead through thirteen holes.
After number seventeen, Delorey-Delorey and Spraker-Swindell were tied. It came down to the eighteenth hole where Kyle Delorey hit one out of bounds and opened the door for Ken and Jennifer. Team Delorey won this championship in 2014 and 2015 but lost by one stroke on the final hole. Ken and Jennifer were in the hunt for this championship a few years ago, but this time they made it official. Congratulations to Jennifer Swindell and Ken Spraker on their first IGA championship win.
